Join us for the next Western Trade Coast Industry Tour, offering valuable insights into Western Australia’s rapidly evolving industrial and energy landscape.
This half-day tour provides an on-the-ground overview of the Western Trade Coast, one of Australia’s most significant industrial corridors. Travelling through key locations, participants will gain perspective on the industries, infrastructure, and projects shaping the region’s future.
The tour includes key locations such as the Australian Marine Complex, Westport, and emerging clean energy hubs, providing real-world context to many of the projects currently driving WA’s economic growth.
Australian Marine Complex, Henderson – Defence capability, shipbuilding, and the growing AUKUS ecosystem
Kwinana & Rockingham Industrial Areas – Energy transition and industrial transformation
Latitude 32 – Strategic industrial land supply and logistics integration
Westport – Perth’s next-generation port development
Energy & Renewables – Hydrogen, battery materials, and emerging industries
Infrastructure Pipeline – Major road, rail, and planning developments shaping the corridor
Live Q&A on board – Engage with industry commentary throughout the tour
Designed for professionals across infrastructure, engineering, energy, logistics, consulting connections, and government, the tour offers practical insight, professional connections, and valuable industry context.
The tour begins with a guided overview of the Western Trade Coast, providing a behind-the-scenes look at how the region’s industrial ecosystem operates.
As we travel through the corridor, you will explore key industrial zones and gain a clearer understanding of how sectors such as manufacturing, defence, logistics, resources, and energy interact and support one another.
Participants are encouraged to engage throughout the tour. Our “Ask-Me-Anything” approach means you are welcome to raise questions along the way, and where possible, we will highlight locations and projects of particular interest to attendees.
Following the tour, guests will join us for lunch and networking, with the opportunity to hear from industry speakers sharing their perspectives on the region’s future.
Dr Oughton will provide commentary throughout the tour, sharing his expertise on industrial symbiosis, energy transition, carbon-neutral initiatives, and the future development of Western Australia’s industrial sectors.
With more than 20 years of experience analysing industrial systems, Dr Oughton will explore emerging technologies, industrial collaboration opportunities and the long-term investment potential within the Western Trade Coast.
Esther Anderson, Executive Director of the Western Trade Coast Business Network, will also share insights from working closely with businesses across the corridor and the opportunities emerging as the region continues to evolve.
